GÄRDSHOLMEN - a genuine archipelago homestead 

   Water characteristics vary from reed-fringed bays, shalllow sandy bottoms, to open fjords with
 depths typically ranging from 6 to 25 m and with a maximal depth of 46 m.

 Pike, which is the most popular fish among anglers in the area, is numerous in the archipelago.
 Other speices are perch, bream, tench, roach, eel and whitefish. Fishing season stretches all year
 around, but the best periods are March-May and September-November. For some species of fish
 there are minimal measures. All trolling is forbidden and we practice "Catch & release".

 An unsinkable rowing-boat for up to 5 persons is included in the cottage rental. More boats and
 smaller engines are also available for rent. Oars, grapnel, life-jackets and marine chart are
 included. It´s possible to book fishing guide which have more then 15 years of fishing experience
 in the Syrsan bay and the adjacent inner archipelago. Fishing is done from a specially designed
 boat with double electric engines. All equipment is available.
